| ABOUT TRUE NORTH |
Hailing from south/central Wisconsin, True North is an all acoustic gospel music group. They produce a variety of sounds ranging from traditional bluegrass, tight acappella harmonies, to more contemporary gospel music. Mandolin, guitar, upright bass, violin, banjo, penny whistle, and occasionally flute and cello blend to create a unique and appealing sound. They have played in churches, prisons, and special events throughout Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. The name True North was chosen to represent the band’s direction and stems from the Bible reference in Psalm 48:2 that places the throne of God on the sides of the North. Their gospel message is delivered through carefully chosen lyrics and melodies that stir the soul. True North has completed three recording projects: Come to the River, Singin’ on Down the Track, and When I Touched Jesus. They have been featured on the Christian TV station 3ABN. Some of their repeat engagements include the Buffalo River Valley Gospel Bluegrass Festival in Mondovi, Seaquist Apple Orchard Fall Harvest Celebration in Door County, and Cup ‘O Joy Coffeehouse in Green Bay. True North’s mission is simple: To share with others the essential Gospel through music that has given them so much inspiration and enjoyment. |
